The Afiya Center and its partners invite you to join us for our Legislative Briefing on the State of Black Women in Texas. The Executive Summary we will release will highlight our findings on the state of Black Women’s maternal health in Texas and show that while Black women have experienced systemic and institutional roadblocks, Black women continue to show much success; particularly in politics, education, socio-economics and health.

This is the summer of resistance. We have testified, rallied, protested and marched across the state of Texas to stop SB4. And we are not stopping now. On May 29th, we will show legislators and the world what our community looks like as they end their session and we begin ours!
